I want my food to be tasty, healthyish, seasonal and sustainable. These preferences present frequent questions (should I eat this banana? should I buy this organic broccoli grown in Italy or that chemical broccoli grown in the UK?) and occasional conflicts (think avocado & lime juice cravings). Happily, I enjoy thinking, chatting and writing about these issues. I also like being right.

lexapro compared to paxil I have picked up a few general principles which I try to stick with: buy organic; buy in season; avoid packets of anything and I try to eat in line with Michael Pollan‘s sage advice:

Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants.

As of 2017, I don’t eat meat or fish and my diet is mostly vegan. I’ll occasionally pick up half a dozen eggs to make a birthday cake or treat myself to a bit of cheese when eating out.

I have helped to grow food at Clapham Common Bandstand Beds. I recognise the need for people to engage with both food production and the outside. Growing veg as a community activity is a brilliant way of achieving this.

So this blog is a record of the food I’ve enjoyed and my musings about eating. There’s recipes, reviews, and links to interesting things. I hope you find what you’re looking for -perhaps it will be hiding in one of my posts.
